Adult Mentoring

Spiritual mentoring services are useful to adults who are in the first few years of their spiritual inquiry.  In fact, having a relationship with both a teacher and a mentor can be extremely supportive throughout one’s entire spiritual journey, even when one is quite seasoned.  However, my own knowledge and development level make me particularly suited to those in the beginning stages of their investigation.  If you already have a fair amount of insight into All of who You Are, and feel quite in integrity in your emotions, relationships, and actions, then I may not be able to offer you anything more.  I invite you to read through my bio (My Story), and the rest of this website, to estimate what services I may be able to provide for you.  Please keep in mind that even if I have not practiced or studied extensively in the spiritual context you are most familiar with, I still may be to help you further your self-investigation and expression by offering new perspectives, genuine and persistent encouragement, and the space to be yourself, be seen, and be appreciated.

Especially if you are in college or under 25, and feel that I may have something to offer you, please contact me.  Because I am young myself, I will easily be able to relate to your particular concerns and interests.  This period of life is a potent opportunity for reflection and spiritual investigation because it is already so transformative and dynamic.  Our identities are often dissolving underneath us at this age, falling away unexpectedly only to be built up again in some new form.  We are like caterpillars entering our chrysalises and emerging as butterflies.  But, as caterpillars, we do not yet know what we will look like on the other end of this process, or even if we will make it.  It can be quite unnerving.  This dynamism and fluidity makes for a special opportunity to set ourselves up to live the most meaningful, purpose-driven lives possible.  At this age we have not solidified ourselves into fixed ways.  We have not yet created impenetrable mental and professional habits and images of ourselves that we must defend at all costs.  We are more open-minded, more passionate, more idealistic.  All of these can be very energizing attributes in our spiritual explorations (though they have shadow sides as well of course).  Thus, the potential gains of doing spiritual work at this age can be tremendous.  Imagine coming into alignment with All of who You Are at the beginning of your career, rather than after ten or twenty years.  Imagine coming from integrity in all future relationships, jobs, and decisions throughout your life, rather than avoiding or shying away from hidden, sometimes frightening places in your being.  This is a very real and practical possibility.  If you had the choice, would it make sense to live any other way?  This is the potential of sincere, honest, embodied spiritual exploration.  Working with me as your mentor can help illuminate the way.
